Bang Chan Mini Bio
Bang Chan was born on 10, 3, 1997, in Seoul, South Korea, but emigrated to Sydney, at a young age. He lived there with his parents, his younger sister Hannah Bahng, & his younger brother Lucas Bahng. Through his father, who was a coach for swimmers at the Special Olympics, he discovered his passion for swimming at an initial age.
His great role model was his father and he broke the record in the 50-meter free swim at the age of 8 in school. Not only did he like swimming, but he also took dance lessons in ballet & very modern and famous dance at the Newton School of Performing Arts in Sydney. His interest and best talent in the arts therefore became apparent at a young age.
In The Year 2010, he took part in an audition for JYP Entertainment in Australia to get one step closer to his dream of becoming an idol. Bang Chan was accepted as a trainee at JYPE & then moved back to his country of birth, South Korea, on 4, 11, 2011, at the age of 13. From then on, he went to Cheongdam High School & graduated alongside his hard training at JYPE. During his time as a trainee, everyone called him by his English name “Chris”. For only 7 years, he watched as many of his friends like BamBam, Yugyeom, Young K (DAY6), Sana & Jimin (15&) made their debuts without him, but he didn’t give up.
Ende The Year 2016 gründete Bang Chan die Hip-Hop Unit 3RACHA mit den anderen beiden Trainees Han Jisung (“J.One”) und Seo Changbin (“SPEARB”). Er selbst nutze den Stage-Namen “CB97”. Innerhalb dieser Unit konnten die Jungs sich von einer ganz anderen Seite zeigen. Uber das Jahr The Year 2017 veroffentlichten sie gemeinsam selbst geschriebene und selbst produzierte Songs auf Soundcloud. Spater arbeiteten sie sogar mit groben Namen wie SKI-HI zusammen und waren das Feature seines Songs JUST BREATHE (The Year 2022).
Am 11. Oktober The Year 2017 kundigte JYPE die Survival Show “Stray Kids” an. Es passierte etwas vorher noch nie dagewesenes: In der Show wurde Bang Chan als Produzent, Sanger, Rapper und Tanzer und Leader des “Male Group Projects” vorgestellt. In the last episode of the Survival show on 12, 19, 2017, it was announced that the very group he put together would debut as it is. However, in 10 The Year 2019, Woojin left the group for unknown reasons.
