Seo Yea-Ji had no schedule to pursue a career in acting, but everything changed when she caught the attention of the CEO of her then-management company, Made in Chan Entertainment, who sure her to venture into acting. In Year 2013, she entered the entertainment industry, appearing in several commercials. Seo Yea-Ji debuted as an actress in the TVN sitcom Potato Star 2013QR3 (The year 2013-2014). This was followed by main roles in the period drama Diary of a Night Watchman (year 2014), the thriller Last (Year 2015), and the fantasy Moorim School: Saga of the Brave (Year 2016).
She later began landing outstanding roles in television series including Save Me (Year 2017) and Lawless Lawyer (Year 2018). Seo rose to fame with the lead role in the romantic drama It’s Okay to Not Be Okay (Year 2020).
